Pittsburgh Pirates’ Bae Ji-hwan showed off his speed and stole his 15th base of the season.
Bae went 1-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base in the seventh spot in the lineup against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington, on Monday (April 28).
It wasn’t a bad start. In his first at-bat 스포츠토토 with the bases loaded in the second inning, he led off with a walk and promptly stole second base. He then took advantage of a throwing error by the Seattle catcher to steal third base. However, he was stranded at third base.
With his 15th stolen base of the season, Bae moved into a tie with Jorge Mateo (Baltimore Orioles) and Bobby Witt Jr. (Kansas City Royals) for fourth place in the major leagues and second in the National League in stolen bases.
Bae then grounded out to second base in his second at-bat of the fifth inning. After a fielding error in the bottom of the sixth, he was pinch-hit for in the top of the seventh to end the game. He is batting .269 on the season.
Pittsburgh failed to attack the Seattle mound, falling to 0-5. They were blanked for nine innings with just two hits.
