There are two “different types” in Kiwoom…What’s the point of throwing 150km? You can’t catch a word while trying to catch two rabbits

This is the record of Kiwoom’s proud two pitching and hitting players who took the mound in the home game against the KT Wiz of the “2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League” at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 13th.

Kiwoom has two first-round players who have thrown fast balls over 150 kilometers since high school and are also talented as batters. Jang Jae-young and Kim Gun-hee are the main characters. Both players took the mound in the game, but it was disappointing.

Jang Jae-young appeared as a relief following McKinney in the fifth inning when he was trailing 0-4. He sent out the first batter Alford due to a throwing error at third base, but he seemed to continue his recent change in pitching by returning follow-up hitter Park Byung-ho with three strikeouts. However, his control began to shake from Jang Sung-woo’s at-bat. In the end, he failed to overcome the chronic ball control problem and caused a crisis with Jang 먹튀검증 Sung-woo with a walk and one out and 1.3 base with a wild pitch during Hwang Jae-kyun’s at-bat. And Hwang Jae-kyun’s infield grounder and Moon Sang-chul’s timely hit allowed two runs.

Jang Jae-young had a hard time blocking the fifth inning, but the ball control was still poor in the sixth inning. Leadoff hitter Bae Jung-dae was walked on base, and Kim Min-hyuk and Kim Sang-soo hit consecutive hits and allowed additional runs. In the end, he threw 53 pitches, allowing three runs in three innings, leaving only disappointing pitches. He shot a maximum speed of 152km, but the 150km ball, which was out of control, was useless.

In the ninth inning, Kim Gun-hee took the mound and got off to a good start. He got off to a good start by handling the leadoff hitter Kang Baek-ho with a grounder to third base. However, he failed to overcome Park Byung-ho’s wall. Park Byung-ho, who struck out three consecutive at-bats without a hit, was in a different class. In a full count situation, he pulled Kim Gun-hee’s seventh 145km fastball and recorded a 120m solo home run over the left-center fence. It was Kim Gun-hee’s first home run since his professional debut, and he was embarrassed by wiping his sweat.

Kim Gun-hee, who seemed embarrassed, threw a 143km fastball to follow-up hitter Kim Joon-tae and hit a 115m solo home run over the right fence. Kim Gun-hee, who hit a back-to-back home run, eventually lowered his head.

Both players, Jang Jae-young and Kim Gun, are both pitchers and hitters like Otani, who plays cartoon baseball. Jang Jae-young has played as a batter in an exhibition game, but he is devoted to pitching after the opening. He came out as a batter, which meant that he would regain his confidence as a pitcher through batting.

On the other hand, Kim Gun-hee is taking a serious approach toward Lee Do-ryu. He played in many games as a pitcher and batter in exhibition games and Futures, and even after joining the first division recently, he came out as both a pitcher and a batter. He is a player with a great ambition to grow into a player like Otani in the future.

In the past, there are players in the KBO League who were called second-rate players in high school. Bong Joong-geun entered the Major League as a batter, but became a pitcher, while Choo Shin-soo and Lee Dae-ho are players who have written various records as batters in the U.S., Japan, and South Korea. Kang Baek-ho, who was considered an Ohtani rival in high school, has also become a batter.

The road to second flow is rough. It is difficult for both pitchers and batters to succeed, but it is virtually impossible for both to achieve a family. It is advantageous for either a pitcher or a batter to choose one and concentrate in the end. If you chase both rabbits, you can miss both.
