Kim reigns supreme in AmaGolf…tops Korean Mid-Am championships

Kim Young-cheol won the 29th Korea Mid-Amateur Golf Championship organized by the Korea Golf Association (KGA).

Kim shot a 2-over-par 74 in the final three rounds of the tournament at the par-72 Parentan-Ette Country Club in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, on 먹튀검증 Friday to finish at 2-under-par 214. Lee, Ki-min Son, Myung-duk Jang and Yang Kwon Kim all shot 1-over par 217, but finished in second through fifth place in countback order.

The three-round, 54-hole stroke play tournament is a national title event that was established in 1993 to expand golf’s popularity and recognize the strongest mid-amateur. It is organized by the KGA and Chammaroo Construction.

Kim shot a 3-under-par 69 in the first round to take the lead, then dropped another stroke in the second round to take the lead heading into the final day. On the final day, he was chased by the second-place group, but he won the tournament wire-to-wire by three strokes.

“I’m happy to win the national title, and now that I’ve qualified for the Korean Open, I want to prepare hard and do well,” said Kim, who also qualified for the 65th Korea Open at Kolon in June.
