(Xinhua) – Uruguay defeated Israel to reach the final of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) U-20 World Cup.
Andersson Duarte scored the winning goal for Uruguay as they defeated Israel 1-0 in the FIFA U-20 World Cup semifinals at La Plata Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Monday (Sept. 9).
Uruguay lined up in a 4-3-3. Randall Rodriguez was in goal, with Damian Garcia, Sebastian Boselli, Facundo Gonzalez, and Alan Maturo in defense. Rodrigo Chagas, Ignacio Sosa, and Fabricio Diaz formed the midfield, while Juan de los Santos, Andersson Duarte, and Franco Gonzalez combined in the attack.
Israel countered with a 4-2-3-1. Tomer Zapati donned the goalkeeping gloves, while Roy Ribeiro, Or Israeloff, Stef Ramkin, and Eli Feingold formed the defense.
