‘Figure skating general’ Kim Ye-rim returns home with a silver medal “Hae-in did very well”

‘Figure skating general’ Kim Ye-rim (20, Dankook University) returned home with a silver medal around his neck.

Kim Ye-rim said, “There were a lot of regrets, but I am happy to have achieved good results” at the spot where she returned to Korea through Incheon International Airport on the 14th, but she left a feeling that she was “a bit disappointed”.

Kim Ye-rim took second place in the women’s singles at the 2023 International Skating Union (ISU) Four Continents Championships, which ended on the 11th (Korean time) at the Broadmoor World Arena in Springs, Colorado, USA.

Kim Ye-rim, who placed first in the short program (72.84 points), dreamed of her first gold medal, but as she made a jumping mistake in the free skating, she allowed Lee Hae-in (19, Sehwa Girls’ High School) her reverse. Kim Ye-rim, who received 136.45 points in the free skating and scored a total of 209.29 points, had to settle for second place behind Lee Hae-in (210.84 points).

“(Lee), Haein did very well. I don’t think she gave up,” she said.

Kim Ye-rim and Lee Hae-in stood on the podium for the second year in a row following last year’s Four Continents Championships. Last year, Lee Hae-in won the silver medal and Kim Ye-rim won the bronze medal.

Kim Ye-rim said, “It is meaningful for Korean players to compete for the championship on a big international stage. It was very strange,” and expressed his wish, “I hope Korean players will continue to do well in the future.”

She unfortunately missed the gold medal, but Kim Ye-rim showed her potential by winning medals in all competitions she participated in except for the Grand Prix Final this season. 먹튀검증

After the ‘2022 Beijing Winter Olympics’, Kim Ye-rim has grown steadily. She won a silver medal at the 3rd event of the 2022-23 ISU Grand Prix followed by a gold medal at the 5th event. She was the first Korean player to win a gold medal in a senior Grand Prix event in 13 years since Kim Yuna in November 2009 at the 5th Grand Prix event of the 2009-10 season.

Kim Ye-rim prepares for the World Championships, which will open in Saitama, Japan on the 20th of next month. Kim Ye-rim’s best result at the World Championships is 11th in 2021.
