After spending big in the offseason, San Diego’s offense hasn’t quite lived up to expectations this season. Manny Machado, who signed a big contract before the season, has struggled and landed on the disabled list.

The good news for San Diego is that they have Ha-Sung Kim. The infield utility player has been playing third base since Machado’s departure. He’s filling the void left by Machado’s sudden injury.
Thanks to his play, San Diego has more than made up for Machado’s absence on defense. However, Machado’s presence on offense is sorely missed. Even though Machado has been struggling this season, he is an intimidating presence on the mound and needs to keep swinging the bat to break out of his slump.
